PHILADELPHIA, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed) Homecoming Week starts Tuesday at Neshoba Central, and the school wants the entire community there.
The Neshoba County School District shared the plans on its Facebook page. The week begins with the Neshoba Central Homecoming Parade on Tuesday, October 13, at 6 p.m. The parade will take place on the school campus.
A community pep rally will start right after the parade. It will be held on the football field.
Friday Night Celebration
The fun continues on Friday, October 16. Homecoming events will begin at 6:30 p.m. at Rocket Field.
The district said it hopes families, friends, and neighbors will come out to cheer on the students. In its post, the district invited the entire community to celebrate the spirit and tradition of Neshoba Central.
The Parade Route
The parade will stay on the school grounds. According to the district’s parade map, entries will line up near the high school and the football field. The route then loops around the campus.
The district asks people not to park along the parade route. One road on the west side of campus is marked “No Parking” on the map.
Where to Park
The district listed these parking areas for parade night:
- In front of the high school. Please do not block the road directly in front of the building.
- In the parking spaces in front of the Performing Arts Building. Again, please do not block the road in front of the building.
- The parking lot in front of the basketball gym and the middle school.
- Across Rocket Drive from the middle school gym.
- The area behind the home football bleachers.
- The bus, softball, and baseball parking lot.
Do not park on Edgewater Drive.
