MERIDIAN, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed) Drivers will find part of North Hills Street closed today and tomorrow in Meridian. The road is closed from King Road to State Boulevard so crews can fix a water line.
The closure is in place Thursday, Oct. 15, and Friday, Oct. 16. So, drivers who use this road to get to work, school or stores will need to plan a different route.
How to get around the closure
Drivers can still get through the area by using a detour. First, take King Road to 40th Avenue. Next, take 40th Avenue to 37th Street. Then, take 37th Street to State Boulevard.
Also, please slow down near the work zone. Watch for workers and heavy equipment in the road.
Water seen near the detour
A reader sent Queen City Newsfeed a photo of the scene. The photo shows water being released near the detour route.
