Multiple shots fired at Philadelphia apartment complex; vehicles struck

PHILADELPHIA, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed) — Philadelphia police are investigating a shooting Sunday night at the Reunion Court Apartments after officers found multiple shell casings and two vehicles struck by gunfire.

Philadelphia Police Chief Eric Lyons said officers responded to Reunion Court following a report of multiple shots fired.

When officers arrived, they found several shell casings at the scene and two vehicles that had been hit by gunfire. No injuries have been reported.

According to Lyons, the initial investigation indicates multiple suspects may have been shooting at each other from both inside and outside the apartment complex.

Investigators are working to identify those involved.

Philadelphia police officers and Neshoba County sheriff’s deputies were seen at the apartment complex as law enforcement investigated the incident.

Additional information, including the identities of any suspects, was not immediately available.

The investigation remains ongoing.
