Tipsy Gypsy Antiques & Gifts opens in Meridian’s North Hills District

MERIDIAN, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed) – A new business celebrated its grand opening Thursday morning in Meridian’s North Hills District. Tipsy Gypsy Antiques & Gifts held a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 4266 Poplar Springs Drive, welcoming the community to its shop offering antiques, clothing, jewelry, accessories, and gifts.

The event was hosted by the East Mississippi Business Development Corporation, with local leaders including Meridian Mayor Percy Bland and Ward 2 City Councilman Dwayne Davis in attendance.

Co-owner Gaile Culpepper, who runs the shop alongside her son Lan Culpepper and daughter-in-law Susan Culpepper, said the store reflects generations of antique collecting in her family. “My mother and father-in-law collected. My mother-in-law had an antique shop in Meridian in the 50s. My great aunt had an antique shop in Meridian in the 70s and 80s,” she said.

Culpepper encouraged the community to visit the store, saying, “Come and look, and if we don’t have what you’re looking for, tell us, and we will try to find it for you.” She also praised Meridian, saying it is “a good community, and a good place to raise a family.”

Tipsy Gypsy Antiques & Gifts is open Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
