LAUDERDALE COUNTY, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed) – All railroad crossings affected by recent construction in Lauderdale County have reopened, according to the Lauderdale County Road and Bridge Department.
The department said CPKC Railroad has completed work at crossings along Ponds Road, Old Highway 19 Southeast, and Alamucha Whynot Road. Traffic is now flowing normally at all three locations.
Road and Bridge officials thanked motorists for their patience while crews worked to complete the project and reminded drivers to continue using caution when traveling through railroad crossings.
No additional closures related to the project are currently scheduled, officials said.
