MERIDIAN, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed)- A portion of George Butler Road will temporarily close beginning at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2026, as crews replace a cross-drain pipe, according to the Lauderdale County Road & Bridge Department.
The closure will allow workers to complete the pipe replacement project aimed at improving drainage performance and enhancing roadway safety.
Motorists are advised to use an alternate route during the closure. Emergency services and other relevant departments have been notified, officials said.
Updates will be provided once the roadway has reopened.
