QUITMAN, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed) — A new dining option has officially arrived in Quitman. The Burrito Company celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon cutting on Thursday, bringing a fresh fast-casual Mexican-style restaurant to the area.
The restaurant is located inside Maples Gas Station and will serve as a test site for the new concept, according to the Manager Tyler Fitzgerald, who was interviewed during the opening.
Fitzgerald said the goal is to introduce something different to the Quitman and Meridian areas.
“We don’t really have anything like this around here,” Fitzgerald said. “It’s similar to places like Moe’s, but we wanted to bring something new to the area.”
The Burrito Company offers customizable burritos and other menu items, with fresh sauces made in-house. The restaurant is also designed to be kid-friendly, offering options suitable for families.
If the concept proves successful, Fitzgerald said the company hopes to expand the brand into other Maples Gas Station locations in the future.
The Burrito Company will be open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and aims to give local residents a new quick and fresh dining option in Quitman.
