KEMPER COUNTY, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed) – A Kemper County man was arrested Thursday following a joint investigation involving the Kemper County Sheriff’s Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigation into the alleged possession of child sexual abuse material.

Investigators said the case developed over several weeks after intelligence sources identified an individual in Kemper County suspected of downloading large quantities of illicit material from the dark web. Authorities said the investigation revealed the suspect had accumulated several hundred gigabytes of such material.

At approximately 6 a.m. on March 19, members of the Kemper County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team executed a search and arrest warrant at a residence on Parsonage Road in the Preston community.

Timothy Walker was taken into custody without incident and charged with 20 counts of possession of child pornography, according to officials. His bond was set at $250,000 per count, totaling $5 million.

Sheriff’s officials emphasized their commitment to pursuing individuals accused of exploiting children and said such investigations will continue in coordination with federal partners.

Authorities said the case remains under investigation.
