MERIDIAN, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed) — Love’s Kitchen was recognized this week as three local football standouts spent time serving meals and giving back to the community before returning to the field.
Leading the effort was Meridian native and four-star defensive lineman Jaimeon Winfield, who returned home and brought two other Meridian athletes to participate in the community service effort.
The players spent time serving and connecting with individuals in need as part of Love’s Kitchen’s mission to provide hope, compassion and support throughout the community.
“These young men could be anywhere else, doing anything else but they chose to spend their last free days in Love’s Kitchen making sure people got a free hot meal,” said Love’s Kitchen Executive Director Fannie Johnson.
Love’s Kitchen said it continues to impact lives daily through service, compassion and partnerships with people committed to making a difference.
