JACKSON – The Mississippi Highway Patrol has submitted its entry for the 2026 American Association of State Troopers “Best Looking Cruiser Contest.”
This year’s submission features a Ford Crown Victoria, a vehicle the agency described as one of the most iconic police cruisers of all time.
MHP said the Crown Victoria was chosen because of its long history as a workhorse for law enforcement agencies across the country.
The photo also features the Mississippi Department of Public Safety and Mississippi Highway Patrol’s new state-of-the-art building in Pearl. The agencies recently relocated from their historic building on Woodrow Wilson Avenue.
Officials said the photo, titled “The Future Meets the Past,” is more than a contest submission. They said it represents the department’s transition into its new home while honoring the past.
The highway patrol is asking the public to vote for Mississippi in the contest.
