MERIDIAN, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed) – Meridian Community College is preparing to welcome students back to campus with orientation, Move-In Day and other activities leading into the start of the Fall 2026 semester.
The first event is Orientation at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 14, in McCain Theater. The session is one of several orientation dates MCC has offered this summer to help students prepare for the upcoming academic year.
On Saturday, Aug. 15, MCC will hold Move-In Day from 9 a.m. to noon in Graham Gymnasium, giving students an opportunity to get settled before classes begin.
The Fall 2026 semester begins Monday, Aug. 17. Students should check their individual schedules for class times. Some classes begin as early as 7:30 a.m., while many begin at 9:30 a.m.
Activities continue Wednesday with MCC’s Fall 2026 Community Resource Fair from 9 a.m. to noon Aug. 19 at Ivy-Scaggs Mall.
The resource fair will connect students with community partners and support services, including resources for academic success, mental health and wellness, financial assistance, community services and career development. Students can also participate in a vendor passport challenge by visiting participating organizations and collecting stamps for a chance to win door prizes.
The fair’s theme, “Peace, Love & MCC,” encourages students to discover resources, build connections and learn more about services available to help them succeed.
