Did you know that buying a specialty car tag could help pets across the state?
By choosing the “I Care for Animals” license plate, Mississippi drivers are directly supporting vital animal welfare programs, including spay and neuter initiatives aimed at reducing pet overpopulation.
Available through county tax collector’s offices, proceeds from these specialty plates fund animal shelters, humane organizations, and other local programs dedicated to improving animal health and welfare.
According to the Mississippi Board of Animal Health, funds from this year’s car tag program have played a key role in expanding spay and neuter services, ultimately helping reduce overpopulation and improving the well-being of countless pets.
