MERIDIAN, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed) – Meridian Police are investigating after evidence was discovered Thursday afternoon at an abandoned home near 20th Street and 20th Avenue.
Assistant Chief Dareall Thompson said investigators gathered evidence from the scene and have sent it to the Mississippi State Crime Lab for analysis. At this time, authorities cannot confirm whether the evidence includes human remains.
“We have collected evidence and sent it to the State Crime Lab,” Thompson said. “We’ll know more once we receive those results.”
Police say the investigation is ongoing and more information will be released as it becomes available.
