MERIDIAN, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed)- Eighth grade students from Magnolia Middle School got a behind-the-scenes look at the local broadcast industry during a field trip to Digio Strategies on Friday, May 9.
Students from the science classes of Mrs. Porter and Mrs. Peters were guided through the studio tour by DJ Jigga JT of 95.1 The Beat, one of the station’s popular on-air personalities.
With state testing set to begin soon, educators organized the visit as a fun and educational experience for students before their exams. The trip offered insight into the fields of radio broadcasting and news production, introducing students to the technology, teamwork, and communication skills involved in media careers.
The tour is part of the school’s broader effort to combine learning with real-world exposure to career pathways.
