MERIDIAN, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed) – The Mississippi Children’s Museum – Meridian hosted its fourth annual Mingle at the Museum fundraiser Thursday night, transforming the museum grounds into a vibrant, carnival-themed celebration to raise money for children across the region.
Adults 21 and over were invited to enjoy an evening of live music, classic fair food, and carnival games from 6 to 9 p.m., all while supporting the museum’s mission of enriching the lives of children through education and play. Local band Aa’Keela provided live entertainment, while attendees tried their luck at prize-winning games and sampled festival-style treats.
Neil Henry, Regional President of Citizen’s National Bank, the event’s lead sponsor, spoke about the importance of the fundraiser and the museum’s impact on the community.
“This event is all about raising money for the local children and children across the state that benefit from this museum,” Henry said.
In addition to the carnival festivities, guests gathered around the dunk tank for a crowd-favorite moment: Queen City Newsfeed’s Cash Matlock took a plunge, helping raise additional funds and spirits throughout the evening.
The event was designed to offer adults a night of fun while emphasizing the vital role the museum plays in child development and learning throughout Mississippi. Organizers said the support from sponsors, including Citizen’s National Bank, continues to grow each year, helping expand the museum’s reach and resources.
