MERIDIAN, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed) – The Meridian Moose Lodge will host a public benefit event on Saturday, Aug. 2, to support Gary Minchew, a local resident currently facing medical and financial challenges after being out of work for more than ten weeks.
The event, which is open to the public, will feature live music from Justin Hill & the Good Enough Band, beginning at 8 p.m. Entry to the dance is $10 at the door.
Earlier in the day, the lodge will be serving spaghetti plates for $12 starting at 3:30 p.m., available while supplies last.
All proceeds from the event will go directly to Minchew to help cover medical expenses and other related costs.
As part of the benefit, attendees and community members will also have a chance to participate in the “Touchdown for Gary” Cheer Basket Giveaway. Entry is $5 for six chances, and participants do not need to be present to win. The drawing will take place during the Moose Riders Dance that evening.
The event will be held at the Meridian Moose Lodge, located at 7405 Old Highway 80 West, Meridian, MS 39307.
Organizers say everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend.
