Devin Johnson is back in custody after nearly a week on the run from Jasper County authorities, according to investigators.
Officials say Johnson escaped the county jail on September 30, by slipping out of an unlocked door during booking. He was captured early Sunday, October 5, and returned to custody.
Johnson now faces multiple aggravated assault charges in addition to a charge of escape. Additional details about his capture were not immediately released. Authorities said more information will be provided as it becomes available.
