The event is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. in the outdoor space between the Quave Student Life Center and the Damon Fitness Center on the MCC campus.
Honor Stride is designed as a unifying event, drawing students, faculty, veterans, families and community partners to recognize and support those who have served in the armed forces. Participants will walk in honor or in memory of service members while also engaging in moments of reflection.
Organizers say the event also aims to raise awareness of the challenges veterans often face after completing their service. Attendees will hear personal stories intended to highlight the realities of transitioning from military to civilian life.
