MERIDIAN, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed)- A free outdoor concert in downtown Meridian will kick off the upcoming Wings Over Meridian weekend with a community celebration ahead of the Blue Angels air show.
The event, known as Jet Jam, is scheduled for tomorrow night at 5:30 p.m. on the City Hall lawn in downtown Meridian. The concert is presented by the Arts & Community Events Society (ACES), which hosts several events throughout the year.
The evening will feature live performances by Still Standing: A Tribute to Elton John and The Live Stock Band.
The concert is free and open to the public.
The event serves as a lead-in to Wings Over Meridian, a naval air show hosted by Naval Air Station Meridian, which draws thousands of spectators each year for aerial demonstrations, including performances by the U.S. Navy’s Blue Angels.
