LAUDERDALE COUNTY, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed)— Paving work is scheduled to begin Wednesday, Oct. 28, on Mt. Carmel Road, according to the Lauderdale County Road and Bridge Department.
Motorists should expect traffic delays as the roadway will be reduced to one lane during construction.
The department is encouraging drivers to avoid the area and use alternate routes when possible. Those traveling through the construction zone are urged to slow down and exercise caution.
County officials thanked motorists for their patience and cooperation as work continues to improve roads and bridges throughout Lauderdale County.
