JACKSON, Miss. – A woman is recovering after having a baby on a Jackson street.
According to PIO Bailey Martin, at approximately 2:26 this afternoon, Capitol Police officers responded to a call regarding a female experiencing a medical emergency near Gallatin and Earl Streets.
When officers arrived, they found a female holding a newborn with the umbilical cord still attached.
The mother and child were transported to a nearby hospital and are both in stable condition.
